|They get along most of the time!|
These past few weeks I've been sewing like mad to prepare for a craft fair in 3 weeks. Tonight I am baking cookies for Evey's preschool Halloween party in the afternoon. Living my comfortably domestic life. The prospect of more billable work is out there. But I am not ready to completely abandon this "stay-at-home" life that I secretly dreamt of for so many years. I'd like to work just enough to pay off my minivan sooner than later. If we can continue to make it work, I don't want to go back to the full time grind until the kids are in school full time. Simple plans.
The kids are growing like mad. Evey, at age 4, is trying to learn to read and write on her own. She has no patience to wait until kindergarten. She's constantly asking me how to spell words, or piecing together sounds and letters on her own to write stories and letters to friends. Super cute. Teagan, at 2, now has more stories to tell than his vocabulary allows him. He's trying to get the words, and often Evey jumps in to translate. But as mama, I know what he's trying to say.
I can't wait to see the kids dressed up tomorrow. Hopefully I'm on the ball enough to post pictures!
